Humpty Dumpty Fun - Pre-K

This week has been a fun filled week of Nursery Rhymes! At group time, the children were asked if they knew what a Nursery Rhyme was. Fun Nursery Rhymes - Pre-School

We started the week with Mary had a little lamb, then onto Jack and Jill went up the hill and we close the week with Mother Goose’ Nursery Rhymes. Greetings from the Older Toddler Room! This week we are focusing on our theme: "Nursery Rhymes" So we are going to be singing a lot and learning about Nursery Rhymes that have been passed down the generations. Believe it or not? Nursery Rhyme Fun - Young Toddler

This week, in the Young Toddler room, we are learning all about Nursery Rhymes. On Monday, the young toddlers dropped 5 little Monkey popsicle sticks into small containers and practiced dumping them all out and starting over. Tuesday, we practiced building large towers with shaker stackers that rattle which made building them up tall and knocking them over noisy and fun! Nursery Rhymes - Infant

This week in the infant classroom our infants have explored and done many different activities! The theme is Nursery Rhymes and Rhyming. Our older infant’s loved counting and talking about colors as we took jumbo Legos in and out of brown bags! We also used black and orange jumbo spiders and practiced dropping them down a large painted tube! Community Helpers - Young Toddler

Greetings from the Young Toddler room! This week's theme was fire safety/community helpers. Monday, the young toddlers enjoyed reading "Awesome Ambulance" and exercising our fine motor skills by building and stacking with alphabet animal blocks. Learning About Community Helpers - Infant

This week in the infant classroom we’ve explored the theme of Community helpers and Fire safety! There has been a lot that we’ve talked about and explored but a few activities stood out to be favorites among the infants. Community Helpers - Pre-School

This week we are talking about firefighters/fire safety as well as other community helpers. The kids have worked on their writing skills when writing stop, drop, and roll. We used letters that were on a firetruck to be able to identify and match letters. In math, we have had the kids organize pictures into what is hot and what is not. We played a game to do some thinking. We gave clues to see if the boys and girls could think of what community helper we were thinking. We sometimes told a tool, described a uniform or maybe what the person worked with. We also reviewed some fire safety rules, including STOP, DROP and ROLL. We practiced calling 911 on a "phone". That's right, this week was all about pirates! The children had some fun as we dove into the high seas. We learned about what a pirate is and that they are not the nicest of people since they like to take other people's treasures! We learned different phrases of a pirate such as Jolly Roger (the pirate flag). Which we read a story about why it is called a Jolly Roger because of a pirate named Roger.
