This week in the infant classroom the theme is Music! We enjoyed quite a bit this week but here are a few of the infant’s favorites. Our one year old infants loved “drumming” paint of paper using jumbo pop sticks. It was fun to get a little messy and make different marks on the paper with the sticks. We also pulled out the mini tambourines and maracas for the group. The group enjoyed trying to shake the instruments fast and slow. The whole group practiced taking turns dropping different shaped cookie cutters into different size holes in an empty box. Another crowd favorite was exploring with the parachute! We placed different sensory balls and bouncy balls in the center of the parachute and the infants tried holding onto its handles and shaking/moving the balls with teacher help! It’s been a blast in the infant classroom, but we look forward to a new theme next week. Until next time!
