Aloha again families! Luau week has been a blast for the children. Yesterday, the children made their own tiki masks out of craft rolls, played luau bingo and sorted the shells at math. Today, the luau party continued for the children. The children put the leis in order at the math table from 1 to 10 and at the language table, the children were able to write the alphabet, their names or any other words they wanted in the sand. At the art table, we worked on our fine motor skills. We put a spaghetti noodle in some play-doh to hold it up and one by one the children had to put beads on the spaghetti noodle. It was also an exciting Thursday because the lovely Coach Charlotte came and taught us all about volleyball. The children learned how to bump, set, and serve the ball today and it was a blast! Tomorrow will conclude our Luau week and we have even more fun activities. We hope that the children enjoyed luau week and there will be more fun next week! Everyone have a safe weekend and stay warm!
