This week is "5 Senses"week. We have explored with touch and smell so far this week. For art the children clued various textured materials on hanprints for the sense of touch, and made their own flowers out of cupcake liners, cotton balls and colored paper. At the math table we had animal chip clips with baskets for counting and foam rings with fake flowers for one-to-one coorespondence. At the manipulative table we had scented play dough with tools and tactile board and bins for touching, building and exploring. In the sensory table we have various size pom-poms, feathers, tongs and mini buckets for exploring various textures.
