We are so excited to be back! Even though we couldn’t do as many field trips we have so much planned this summer! As we get back into the summer routine, we will be learning how to stay healthy during this time. We will practice proper hand washing as a class. We are learning quickly and will keep this healthy practice all summer. We will also together come up with summer rules. This week we are observing the class and how it may look different. We have toy bags and supplies for each individual kid. Cubbies are covered so no hands, but the teachers can touch them and distribute them. This summer we will be doing Art, Recreational games, Science and Social Studies, Journaling, Health and Safety and small projects. This week we are talking about the ocean. We are making ocean craft and painting, exploring seashells, and learning the importance of water. One special science activity we will be doing is creating a marshmallow shooter and landing it at a target to see how close we get! This week will be busy with a lot to learn but so far, every child is doing amazing and happy to be with friends.
