This week in the infant classroom, the theme is Christmas in July. The infants have explored a lot of different things this week and it has been a blast! The crowd favorite, was counting gingerbread men as we put them in baskets! It was fun to point to the details on the gingerbread men and talk about the color of their buttons or hair! We also explored connecting the gingerbread men by their arms in a long line across the classroom floor! The infants took a walk earlier this week which was and always is a blast! We looked for birds, cars, trees and different noises as we walked! We’ve been practicing our walking skills using push carts and by holding hands! The older infants love to walk to and from their diaper changes as well as during our clean up time! Another fun activity from the week was tossing different colored rainbow bean bags into small baskets. We talked about all the different colors of the bean bags and even tried sorting them by colors with those who seemed interested! This week was a lot of fun, but we look forward to moving on to our Sports theme next week. Until next time!
