This has been such a fun week filled with so much movement and games and activities! We started our week off with baseball, then basketball, then hockey and today is all about football! Tomorrow is bowling (with some golf mixed in too!). Besides playing all of the games, we have also been learning rules and having discussions about winning and losing. We have talked about how we should handle a "loss" in a game. We quoted some of the Pete The Cat books..."did Pete get upset? Goodness no!" We talked about how we can congratulate the winner and move on and know that we can do our best next time around. For some art projects, we made our own baseballs on Monday. Wednesday, we "skated" a magnet around and today we made our own paper footballs with stick goal posts! Outside, we are mastering some jumping skills with using hula hoops to jump in and out of and also use them as a temporary goal when we need to! Tomorrow we will finish up our sport week with some bowling in the classroom and golf outside.
