This week in the infant classroom we have explored so many things! The younger infants have enjoyed singing Row Row Row Your Boat one on one with teachers! While sitting on our laps, laying on their backs and watching from below or sitting face to face, our younger infants love to hear us sing! We also used the spider hand puppet to sing The Itsy-Bitsy Spider song, with hand motions! As our younger infants continued to practice sitting up with support and tummy time, the older infants enjoyed holding teachers’ hands and practicing jumping/hopping like a frog! Today we explored small color changing flashlights and small sensory light up balls in empty clear containers as we sat with the lights off. We practiced shaking the containers to cause the balls to light up inside. The infants loved clapping for one another and encouraging each other to cause the balls to light up. We have also explored gluing paper strips to bird cut outs together, a bit messy but always fun. We will continue to talk about our rainforest theme the rest of the week, and we move onto Friends next week. Until next time!
