This week's theme is Rainforest and Jungle! The Young Toddlers have enjoyed practicing twisting lids off of plastic cars filled with different color frogs and making rainforest animal footprints in playdough with rainforest animal toys. For art this week, we have made frog footprints with frog feet sponges with green paint onto contstruction paper and created fun jungle masks with glue, paint, feathers and rainbow confetti. During group time, the young toddlers read Five Little Monkeys and sang together as we practiced counting on our fingers. On the patio, we are exploring "painting" with water and watching how the sun makes the water disappear. The young toddlers love making small marks and pointing to where the was had been but is no longer there! With fall around the corner, we have updated our science area with laminated fall leaves for exploring all the fall colors like red, yellow and orange. Next week, we will be talking all about friends and what makes them so special! Until next time!
