This week, the toddlers are talking about friends. We kicked off theme on Tuesday, since being off on Monday, with a picture of friends on the Word Wall. We talked about what we do with our friends such as play, use safe hands, go outside, etc. At the art table, the toddlers made a magazine collage of different people. At the math table, the toddlers matched their toddler friends pictures together. At the manipulative table, the toddlers explored little people and doll houses.
On Wednesday, at the art table, the toddlers glued on the letters in their name on paper. At the math table, the toddlers matched ABC letters to the letters in their name or to each other. At the manipulative table, the toddlers used pool noodles to push onto paper towel holders.
On Thursday, at the art table, the toddlers made a friendship link which we will connect together and make into a friendship chain. At the math table, the toddlers matched colored bracelets to paint samples. At the manipulative table, the toddlers worked their fine motor skills by connecting shower curtain rings together to make a chain.
