Greetings from the Young Toddler room! This week's theme was fire safety/community helpers. Monday, the young toddlers enjoyed reading "Awesome Ambulance" and exercising our fine motor skills by building and stacking with alphabet animal blocks. Tuesday, we enjoyed a very special finger puppet show all about fire safety followed by painting during art with paintbrushes, water and colored chalk! Wednesday the young toddlers, decorated fire fighter hat cutouts with glue, glitter and tissue paper. Thursday we matched big and small laminated cutouts of community vehicles and read "Who lives here?". Today we practiced our fine motor skills by grasping feathers with clips and dropped them into small baskets as well as sang and danced to the "Fire Engine" song. What a fun and important week in fire safety we've had in the Young Toddler room. Next week's them is Nursery Rhymes where we will learn and explore our favorite nursery rhymes. Until next time!
