This week in the infant classroom our infants have explored and done many different activities! The theme is Nursery Rhymes and Rhyming. Our older infant’s loved counting and talking about colors as we took jumbo Legos in and out of brown bags! We also used black and orange jumbo spiders and practiced dropping them down a large painted tube! It was fun to practice following simple directions by encouraging the infants to go and find the spiders we had just dropped down the tube! We also sang twinkle twinkle little star together while the older infant’s practiced painting cut out stars yellow, and then gluing them to a black poster board. The younger infants are practicing their standing at tables and toy shelves during play vs sitting on our bottoms. We practiced rhyming by labeling objects that rhyme during play as well like Blocks and Socks! It has been a wonderful week together and we look forward to exploring the Numbers theme! Until next time.
