This week in the infant classroom the theme is numbers! We have explored quite a bit and practiced counting while we explore colorful bean bags and stacking nesting cups! With the younger infants us teachers counted fingers and toes! It was fun to see the reaction from the little ones, most even vocally reacted by cooing or letting out a high-pitched noise! Some of our infants who are working on their mobility have loved practicing exploring toys while standing with support at the low shelf and tables! We count out loud to five with the infants as they stand and play, as well as supporting them in going from a standing position to a sitting position! We’ve explored ice cubes in baggies and talked about temperature as well! We even talked about how it is starting to feel cooler outside as we get further into October! We have had a great week in the infant room, and we look forward to our Halloween theme on Monday! Until next time!
