Halloween Sensory Fun! - Infant

Posted by Lakewood Childcare Center on October 29, 2020 at 3:40 PM

This week in the infant classroom has been a blast celebrating Halloween! We have talked about and explored many things but there were a few crowd favorites that the infants loved! One being exploring googly eye sensory baggies! We practiced holding onto the bags and talking about how it feels in our hands for the younger infants, where the older infants held onto the baggies and practiced making sounds and noises as we labeled the spiders and colors we saw inside! The older infant’s also enjoyed practicing dropping bean bags into a pumpkin container! The older infants loved clapping for their younger infant friends who took the bean bags out of the pumpkin. We have also explored orange tissue paper and practiced tearing it into pieces to sticking it to sticky paper together! Also, the infants loved listening to and touching a windchime as a teacher held it, and practicing holding onto the handles of our big rainbow parachute! We look forward to our Halloween day at school tomorrow and talking about all the costumes we see, and it’s on to All Around the World next week!
