It's dinosaur week and we have had some fun activities taking place with the babies! They got to try and search for dinosaurs in brown paper bags and under cloths, which were great activities for them to learn that just because they can't see it, it still exists. They had a lot of fun with them. They had a chance to play with their little flashlights and move the light beams all over the floor and walls. Puzzles were introduced for them to try and fit one and two pieces into the board. We had drawn a large dinosaur onto a piece of poster board and let them try their hand at sticking stickers to it - some really worked hard at getting theirs to stay. Holding and scribbling with crayons were also tried out a couple of times, which makes a great transition activity before they move onto something else. Balls have been a great hit with all ages as they are learning to throw and roll them all over the room. Even the smallest babies have been busy - watching toys under the gym placed over them, practicing tummy time and reaching for toys and exploring paint inside a baggie taped to the floor. It was cold outside but they have been having lots of fun with many warm indoor activities. Next week, will be all about winter!
