Hello all!
This week has been a fun filled week learning about Winter. We began the week talking about how we know when it is Winter outside. The children came up with many different answers such as the leaves are off the trees, it turns colder and of course the big one was that it snows!! This week, the children worked on many different number recognition activities at the math table. At language this week, the children worked on some rhyming words, letter sounds and writing the different winter words from the word wall. At science, the children played with the artic animals and had some fun making snowstorms in a jar. This week, we also learned about the letter Ll. The children came up with Ll words, we sang the letter Ll song and read the Ll book. Our art this week dealt a lot with making wintery things such as snowmen, snowflakes, and igloos. We also got to watch "A Christmas Peril" done by the Beck Center on the big screen! The children were amazed on how we were able to get it from my computer into the projector and on to the screen. The Winter fun is sadly coming to a close, but there will be even more exciting things to learn next week!
Stay warm!
