This week in the infant classroom the theme is winter! Our infants have explored quite a bit, but of course we have had some crowd favorites. The older infants enjoyed practicing safe hands and taking turns as we practiced sticking snow flake cut outs to sticky paper! After we were finished sticking all our snowflakes, we stuck the paper onto the floor of the classroom to revisit and explore throughout the rest of the week. The infants also practiced making marks in white play dough with plastic animals to make snow tracks! The younger infant’s explored their own ice baggies in a group. We talked about how the ice feels cold just like the snow that we’ve been seeing outside! We explored the big rainbow parachute together, practiced dropping snow man pins in empty bottles and paper towel rolls that we’ve tapped to the walls and sang lots of different fast and slow paced songs together! We move on to our Hanukkah theme next week! Until next time!
