All about the farm and the animals this week! Tuesday in art the children cut out shapes and glued to paper. In language the children listened to a story being read about the animals on the farm, and then did some recall of events from the story. In math the children sorted animal counters into groups of farm animal/not farm animal. Wednesday in art the children explored more cutting and gluing to construct a pig. In language they engaged in a game of cow bingo, finding and identifying the letters on the cow's. Today the children constructed a duck in art and in math they counted animals and wrote the name. The language activity was done at group and the children used their listening skills to listen to a farm animal sound and try to identify it. The children did go swimming today too! Tomorrow in art the children will construct a dog by doing more cutting and gluing. In language the children will engage in a farm memory game and in math they will work with farm animals and patterning.
