Construction - Pre-School

Posted by [email protected] on July 15, 2021 at 2:05 PM

This theme has been an enjoyable one for the preschoolers this week, they love talking about what they know about construction nd ask questions about what they want to know. Monday in art the children constructed a building with magnet blocks, and then practiced drawing the construction on paper. In language the children dictated what they would build if they were an architect and in math the children created shapes using rubber bands on geoboards. Coach Charlotte came and the children learned some basketball skills to dribble, and push the ball up. Tuesday in art the children continued to build and draw constructions and in language they worked on writing construction words. Wednesday in art the children used masking tape to create a design, lots of fine motor work with this! In language the children shared what they know about construction and in math added pepperoni to pizza! Today was a swim day and we had a little time to get some activities done as well. In language the children matched the worker's to the tools they use, and in math matched and named shapes. Tomorrow in art the children will do some tree bark rubbings, in language they will do a hard hat letter memory game and in math they will engage in construction bingo. Coach Charlotte will be back tomorrow too!!
