Monday in art the children painted with light and dark shades of green, in math the children worked with pattern blocks and matched them to patterned snakes. In language the children matched letters to rainforest words and animals. Tuesday in art the children worked their fine motor skills to tear aper and then glue; in math the children added rainforest animals to a 1 to 1 grid using dotted cards to determine how many animals to add each turn. In language the children drew a picture of a rainforest and dictated what the picture was about. Wednesday in art the children painted with combs and in math they arranged colored apples in various patterns by color. In language the children listened to sounds of the rainforest and talked about what they could hear,. Today in art the children painted with a piece of pool noodle and metallic paint, in math they strung beads and counted how many they had when completed. In language the children dictated what they would hear if they went walking in the rainforest. Tomorrow in art the children will do some fizzy painting, and in math they will add frogs to lily pads. In language the children will help write rainforest words for the word wall.
