This week we learned about many different colors and shapes. On Monday, in math we played a shape and color bingo! In art, we painted circles using a Loofah. In Language, we played a matching game using red and blue upper-case letters.
On Tuesday, we traced shapes in Language, and in Art, the children made a collage gluing different shapes to construction paper. In Math we patterned different shape and strung them.
On Wednesday, in Language we picked an object in the classroom and had the children tell us what shape it was. In math we did pattering using linking fish and had the children count how many different color fish they had. In Art we used an apple to paint, and the children could see the shape of half an apple in construction paper.
Thursday was a fun day, In Language we played a Color Word matching game. In Math we had different shapes in piles and were tough “more or less than”. In Art we used different shape stampers in paint. Friday in Language we had a list of items/foods that were red, orange and yellow and we used a chart to list the items under the colors. In Math we Identified shapes and colors, sorted them by size. (small, medium and large). In Art we learned what happens when we mix different colors together and painted on construction paper, the children really loved learning the results of mixing different colors together.
